hard drive comparison chart

Would this processor be better then this processor?

before we go on my motherboard only supports Intel Pentium 4 and Intel Pentium D, i know its crappy. and i can’t get a new one because im on a small budget. now right now i have a
Intel Pentium 4 640 @ 3.2GHz
and i want to know that if i switch the processor to a
Intel Pentium D 940 @ 3.2GHz
would it make a difference? here is a comparison

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/cpu-charts-2008-q1-2008/compare,382.html?prod[1298]=on&prod[1285]=on

can you guys really look into this, my comp is slow right now, yes i reformated my hard drive, i just want it to go a lil faster and get better framerates in some games, the cpu is also 90nanometers and is a 775 lga socket, would a 65nanometer pentium d work with mine?
i also have 2 gigs of ram and my motherboard is a asterope rs400/rc400/rc410

There would be no difference in performance. The only difference is that the 940 would allow you to run a 64-bit operating system, and it would run slightly cooler.

If your comp is slow, you’ll probably want to upgrade the ram, as well as running things like spybot, ccleaner, and disk cleanup.

Xbox 360 Slim unboxing, transfer to 250GB hard drive and comparison

laptop repair tempe

4 Ways To Repair A Slow Running Computer

Nobody wants a slow running computer. Unfortunately, almost every computer gets slower with time, if the proper maintenance is not performed. Here are four things you should do if you want to keep your computer running like new.

1. Clean out your temporary folder. Those temporary files can really build up over time. They don’t need to; after all, they are temporary. Temporary files often use up RAM and processor speed that cause your computer to lag.

If you’ve never emptied your temp folder, do so–it will help you fix a slow running computer.

2. Remove any programs that you don’t use. Unused programs can take up memory on your PC or laptop. Many of these programs are set to start some of their operations just as soon as you boot your computer. They could be slowing down your computer even if you don’t ever use them.

You can use the Add/Remove program function in Control Panel (in Windows Vista, you can find this function under “Programs”. In other versions of windows, it is under “Add/Remove Programs”.)

Keep in mind that some programs will leave process files behind when they uninstall. This is why good PC optimization software–such as a registry cleaner–is important if you want to repair your slow running computer.

3. Empty your recycle bin. This is something that most of us don’t think about very often. You won’t turn your PC or laptop into a supercomputer when you empty the bin, but you might just fix a slow running computer enough to notice it.

4. Get hold of some good PC optimization software. Good PC optimization software will remove process files that you don’t use and repair files that have become corrupt. In many cases, this will completely fix your slow running computer.

But the point isn’t just repairing the slow system–it’s also to keep your computer running smooth and strong. Click the link at the end of this article if you’d like to see some honest reviews of the three best optimization programs I’ve used to fix my slow running computer.
