How do I change the printer cartridge in an Epson Stylus C90 brand new printer?

i have an epson printer question?
i ahve an epson stylus c60 printer, it’s very old. it wont print. I have just purchased a new ink cartridge campatible with it, and it stil doenst want to print. i know there are some of those printers that wont let you print without having a color cartridge as well, i dont care about those those. i need to know if the Espon Stylus c60 is one of those. my question is, do i need a color cartridge to use my printer? the black one is perfectly new and compatible
I have recently tried to install my epson printer to no avail. When I insert the driver CD and install the software, I get a message telling me that my printer isn’t switched on, yet when I check it everything is on and all the cables are in the right places. The installation stops here and I cannot install the printer. Any information would be appreciated gratefully. Thankyou
