Why does Dell ask if I’m planning on sending the computer abroad when I purchase…?
through them?
Whenever I buy a Dell computer they ask something like “Are you gonna send this system abroad?”
Why do they ask this, and if I I want to send an unopened laptop to Australia by US mail, is this gonna be a problem?
Power specifications are different. the US runs on residential 120V alternating current (AC). Check australian specs to see if you need (or can) modify the computer’s power management.
Edit: Europe= 220VAC, Australia= 240VAC. Definitely get the power config adjusted on the laptop, or it may just require a specific adapter. If you don’t, that computer is gonna blow (and that’s in the literal sense of the word).
