no laptop display
My laptop display keeps crashing?
I`m on an Asus A7 laptop duo T7300 with Nvidia GeForce 8400 graphics card OS is Vista. every so often my display crashes to a black screen, my only option is to push the power button and switch off when I turn it back on there is no dislay only a pinkish screen with vertical lines running down it. If I hook up another monitor I can enter safe mode with networking. whilst in safe mode I have tried updating graphics drivers but doesnt work. I have tried a system restore then shutting off windows auto updates. I have tried downloading updates from Nvidia and Asus none of which have done any good.After a while of running in safe mode I do a restart and it works fine again for a while. This Is driving me mad has anyone got any ideas plz.
It actually sounds like the graphics card is going bad or over heating.
Try to keep your laptop away from blankets or other surfaces that
can retain heat, such as your bed / and pillow.
If the machine still crashes despite normal use then you will need
to have your graphics card looked at. In most cases like this the
user is required to buy a new graphics card to resolve the issue.
