macbook trackpad button not working

My macbook keyboard won’t let me type?

So, i was playing with my pet turtle Wally, and wanted to take a picture with him on my macbook. So, i did and then i placed him down on my computer so a split second. (I placed him by the trackpad area)

I didn’t want turtle germs on my computer, so I decided to get a paper towel with water and soap to clean up the area where he was. After, that i noticed my keyboard was pretty dirty, so I also wiped down the whole keyboard with the paper towel with water and soap on it.

It was a pretty stupid idea, I know.

So not the keyboard won’t type right. I shut it down, and the only buttons that work are certain ones, and even those mess up and type two letters when i press down one button. Also, one of the whole rows wont even work.

I have no idea what to do, the computer works just fine it’s just the keyboard, and since it won’t type i can’t log into my computer account.

Please help me? Do i need an entire new keyboard? Is it expensive?

Leave the cover open and set a small fan aimed at the keyboard. Do not have it on high, you just want the air to circulate to help the moisture evaporate. Keep the computer completely shut off. Let it sit like that for a couple of days.

If it still does not work, here are a couple of other options:

If you look very carefully you will see that the new laptop keyboards just pop out in one piece, so it shouldn’t cost too much for a shop to replace it for you.

Or if you are really in a pinch look on the sides of the laptop, there is a port for a keyboard. Just go get one for that make and model. Sales personnel can help you. Keyboards are pretty cheap.
